In our body, it’s the legs and feet that correspond to the physical plane. So, if you wish to free yourself from physical pressures, you can do some mental work on your feet. You’re wondering whether I’m being serious? Yes, I’m very serious. When you wash them, for example, get into the habit of touching them consciously and concentrating on the spiritual centres found above and below them. In Greek mythology, the God Hermes is shown with winged heels. Hermes is the symbol of the initiate, who has the ability to travel throughout space, for he or she possesses the secret of how to develop the spiritual centres situated in the feet. If you do not know this secret, you cannot liberate yourself from the physical plane, you are not permitted to leave your body in order to visit other worlds.
