Outer space is inhabited by comets, planets and suns. But …

Outer space is inhabited by comets, planets and suns. But while comets cross the expanse like dishevelled heads of hair, planets revolve immutably around a sun from which they receive heat and light. As for the suns, these inexhaustible sources of light and heat dispense their benefits to all creatures. There are people who, like comets, pass through life seeking no order, no point of reference. Others, like planets, revolve around a centre and know they must not travel far from this source of heat and light. They go through highs and lows, but they persevere on the path of good. Finally, there are the suns, the great masters and initiates who have gone so far along the path of love and wisdom that nothing can cause them to deviate from their spiritual ideal. They remain in the centre and give light and warmth to the beings around them.
