‘I don’t have this… They owe me that… No one loves me… No …

‘I don’t have this… They owe me that… No one loves me… No one thinks of me…’ We hear this everywhere we go, but humans will never attain happiness by complaining and demanding in this way. On the contrary, they are preparing lives of disappointment and suffering for themselves. If they began to be a little less concerned about themselves and a little more concerned about others, everything would soon improve. Of course, there are certain things you lack, but tell yourself that you will always lack something, and if you persist in a negative attitude you will lack even more. So forget what is missing, and rejoice in what you have. When you have the possibility of embracing the entire universe through thought and communing with all the luminous creatures that inhabit it, what more do you need to know to understand that you are rich and fulfilled and that you can even help others? Until you begin to think of making others happy, you will never be happy yourself.
