If you place an object close to the fire, it heats up and expands, and a liquid will even evaporate. In the same way, when someone is exposed to the rays of the spiritual sun, they become warm, and this warmth, this love, is communicated to all their cells. They feel a real expansion, as if the stuff of their being was becoming lighter, subtler, more spiritual. Little by little, they begin to vibrate in harmony with the spirit. And when the spirit sees a being vibrating in unison with it, singing with it, it feels drawn to this being. This is why the spirit has been presented as a fiancé or husband going to meet his beloved. It is an image often found in different religions. The ideal of the human soul (whether of a man or woman) is to become the fiancée of the spirit, in other words, to put itself in a state of inner receptivity towards the divine principle.
