Why is it that we can only find true security and freedom …
Why is it that we can only find true security and freedom in the spiritual world? Because the spiritual world is free of matter and is therefore safe from external attack. If you are truly strong in your convictions, no one can gain hold over your thoughts, feelings, beliefs or aspirations. Even if your books, your laboratories or your livelihood are taken from you, even if you are locked away in prison, no one can prevent you from feeling rich and free, from continuing to reflect, from conducting experiments in your inner laboratories and exploring the infinite world of the soul and spirit. This is why it is so important to learn to reinforce and enrich your inner world: only by doing so will you have something that really belongs to you.
