Why has nature given men this instinctive desire to contemplate women naked? Why do men always want to see them undressed? Unfortunately humans do not know how to interpret the language of nature. They are aware of certain instincts within themselves, but accepting them in their crudest form and giving in to them, they sink lower and lower, and that is the end of them. Why do they not learn to use these instincts for their spiritual development? The fact is that nature wants men to go beyond mere appearances and to discover another kind of truth. Men must learn to see beyond women’s physical nakedness to the nakedness of their soul and spirit, in other words to see women in their greatest purity and light. On high nothing remains of impurity or ugliness, there is only innocence and splendour.
