God exists everywhere in the universe, yet He is different …
God exists everywhere in the universe, yet He is different from this universe He has created. To shed light on this idea, let us use an image: that of a snail for example. The snail has a soft, flaccid body, while its shell is hard. At first glance, it would seem that the snail has nothing in common with its shell, but it is the snail who secreted it. Little by little it grows larger because the snail's etheric body penetrates the shell's minuscule interstices and moves the particles of matter apart. The snail is distinct from its shell, but it is the snail who has secreted the shell and who enlarges it . This image helps us to understand the relationship between God and the universe. God is not the universe, but He has created it as a fluidic emanation of Himself, which has subsequently condensed to form worlds, constellations, galaxies. In order to make the universe evolve God tirelessly continues to impregnate it with His life. So this universe which is alive changes, thanks to God's life, but God is an entity distinct from it. God is everywhere in the universe, but He is not the universe: they are not one and the same.
