What good does it do to continually point out peoples’ …

What good does it do to continually point out peoples’ faults? Do they improve as a result? No. Well then, from now on try to concentrate instead on the immortal, eternal, divine Principle that also lives within them, and work to develop sacred feelings for this divine Principle. You will help them, and you will do some good work on yourself as well. But when you focus on others’ failings, you do yourself harm. You feed yourself rubbish, and you also prevent others from evolving. Don’t be surprised if you feel lonely as a result. By criticizing others and emphasizing their weaknesses and shortcomings, you only create a gulf between them and yourself. Through your soul and your spirit, learn to relate to all the souls and spirits on earth. When the best in you meets the best in others, believe me, you will never again feel lonely.
