The method scientists use is analysis: they separate, cut, dissect and split things up, and this method has now spread to all areas of life. Of course, when you are faced with a problem you have to analyse it, but if you want to find the best solution, the most effective method is synthesis; in other words, you must place the problem in the context of the whole. Synthesis alone gives life. When we frantically analyse and dissect things and people, we march towards death, first spiritual death and then physical death. What is individualism? A kind of analysis that pushes people to become detached, to isolate themselves, to separate themselves from others, to reinforce walls and frontiers; this analysis also ends in spiritual death. A community, a brotherhood, on the other hand, is a synthesis that brings life. So long as humans do not wish to achieve universal brotherhood in the world, they will destroy themselves. In order to live, one must have a high ideal, and this ideal is the kingdom of God, which is none other than true universal brotherhood.
