Why do you always comment on others’ imperfections? Try, …

Why do you always comment on others’ imperfections? Try, rather, to perfect yourself. When your parents and friends see how much you have changed they will be forced to change themselves. The work you do on yourself is contagious; it’s like magic: others sense it, and they are encouraged, sometimes even in spite of themselves, to try and improve. It’s not easy to change humans. The Lord himself hasn’t succeeded yet, so how can you expect to? Leave other people alone, then, and just think about working on yourself. Perhaps, once they sense you have become wiser, stronger, more generous and more brotherly, they will be encouraged to imitate you. Don’t waste your time criticizing and complaining. Just deal with yourself. You will have far fewer worries if you do; you will no longer torment yourself, and the efforts you make in this way will accelerate your evolution.
