In an initiatic school the disciple learns how to perform each act of daily life in such a way that he exposes himself only to the purest elements. For the spirit can only begin to manifest itself through our brains when we have purified our physical and psychic organisms, and we become more resistant, more energetic, more lucid. So from now on, work to purify, enlighten and give life to your physical body so it becomes increasingly obedient to the orders of the spirit. And even when you rest your physical body with a few hours of sleep, on the other side you will continue to instruct yourself, to work, and to help humankind. This is what an initiate does in the night: his physical body lies motionless, but his spirit does not sleep. It remains active, travelling far and wide to help and enlighten other beings.
