Once they decide to begin serving the Lord, some people become unbearable, to the point of falling out with family and others around them. The whole world must know that they have become great mystics, great saints, and this creates conflict and confrontation. No, this is not the way! Those who decide to dedicate their life to God and to love him above all else must develop ever more generosity and love in their heart for their neighbour, because God is love. If your search for God leads you to crush and massacre others, you have understood nothing. If you want to draw closer to God, you must begin to think and feel that all human beings are in you and are you, just as he is. Then, rather than fighting them and becoming a monster, you will feel their needs, their worries and their suffering, and you will be filled with the desire to help them. This is how to love God and to move truly closer to him.
