Human beings tend to think they are the only ones in the universe who are truly alive and intelligent. Well, they are wrong, and because of this mistaken idea, death has had a firm grip on their culture and mentality for centuries. If you want to be truly alive and intelligent, consider everything around you – stones, trees, mountains, sky and sun – to be as alive and intelligent as you are, and even more so. This is the psychology of the initiates. As long as human beings imagine they are the only thinking creatures – that the rest of the universe does not think, feel or understand – they cannot progress. If you think of the sun as an intelligent, living being, it will instruct you. One day the entire world will have to recognize this truth.
