It is often parents’ misguided love that makes families …

It is often parents’ misguided love that makes families miserable: the parents failed to show their children that there are implacable laws, which everyone must accept, parents and children alike. ‘But what if they cry?’ you ask. Let them! They must understand that everyone has to obey and submit to these laws. As soon as a child cries, the mother or father gives in to keep the little darling happy. Well, at this point the battle is lost: they will give in for the rest of their lives. The child will mistreat them and turn them into slaves, and these same parents will one day suffer for having mistaken weakness for love. The child is crying? Well, let it cry – its lungs will get a workout and meanwhile, the child is learning that there are laws to apply and abide by.
