One thing believers of all religions have difficulty in accepting is that God, who is all-powerful, doesn’t finally decide to annihilate the evil spirits that come to tempt them. But these spirits also have the right to live; it’s up to humans not to fall into their traps. God will never punish the devil for coming to tempt them: it is up to them to be more enlightened and stronger, to understand where their real interest lies, to realize why it is preferable to go in one direction rather than another and to have the willpower to take this direction. They must be convinced of this one hundred per cent. Would it really be to human beings’ advantage to be forced along the path of goodness and light in spite of themselves, shielded from temptation and error whatever they do? The Creator and heavenly spirits allow them to find their own path, so they can develop their consciousness and learn to become responsible for their life decisions.
