In facing up to the difficulties we encounter, we must maintain our consciousness of unity. To all appearances, of course, it is the philosophy of duality that conforms to the truth: the world presents us with the ongoing drama of struggles, conflicts, confrontations and antagonisms of every kind! Human beings oppose each other, but in reality they are one. If they become divided, it is death for both sides, which is something they still haven’t understood. Although they fight each other and appear separate, they are connected and nourished by their oneness. On this cosmic Tree of unity there are many branches, leaves and fruits contending with each other, but they can do nothing to change the fact that they have the same trunk and the same roots, which they depend on for their survival.
