Forests, mountains, rivers and seas… everything we see in nature is only its external cover, its physical body. We must try to go beyond that in order to discover nature’s etheric body and the vibrations, emanations and currents that circulate through it. But really, it’s not enough to stop at nature’s etheric body; you must go even further. And that is what disciples were taught in the ancient initiations: to ‘lift the veil of Isis’. In the Egyptian religion, the goddess Isis is the spouse of the god Osiris. In this great female figure, initiates see a symbol of primordial Nature, from which issued all the beings and elements of creation. This Nature is impenetrable to the ordinary man or woman, but initiates have made her their main object of study. They want to know her, and that is why they make great efforts to understand the life forms she engenders and manifests herself through.
