When you are walking in the forest, approach a tree and say …

When you are walking in the forest, approach a tree and say to it: ‘You who create a link between earth and heaven, how great is your beauty and strength! I beg you to give me your strength and stability! And I ask you to tell all the other trees in the forest that I admire them and love them!’ The spirits who live in this tree will say to each other: ‘Most people who come to the forest are blind and unconscious, but when this one arrived he sensed our presence. This is a friend; let us welcome him.’ And, since this happens very rarely, they spread the news from tree to tree. All the spirits come out of their hiding places to look at you, to marvel at you and dance around you, and when you leave the forest you feel happy and restored.
