Our songs are a wealth that you must learn to use for …

Our songs are a wealth that you must learn to use for balancing and developing your inner life. When you feel that you no longer know quite where you are, and your ideas are becoming confused, sing ‘Misli, pravo misli – think straight’, and you will then begin to see your way more clearly. When you think that nobody loves you sing ‘Bog é lubov – God is love’. What more could you want, for God will never desert you? If you are a bit tired and out of sorts sing ‘Sila, zdravé é bogatstvo – Strength and health are wealth’, and you will pick yourself up and get back to work. If you feel that life is dull and unexciting, and you no longer gain any pleasure from it, say ‘Krassiv é jivota – life is beautiful’. And when you are happy, sing ‘Blagoslavia, douché moïa, Gospoda – My soul, bless the Lord’. Since you have the means – a whole arsenal of magical words – at your disposal, learn to put them to good use.
