How can we know whether we truly believe in God and truly …

How can we know whether we truly believe in God and truly love him? The answer is simple: if we are grateful and remember to thank him, which is precisely the opposite of what human beings generally do. They say they believe in God and imagine they love him, but most of the time they express their faith and love in demands: God must watch over them, protect them and grant them everything they want, and if he fails to do so he’ll be in trouble, because they will no longer believe in him or love him! Yes, the faith and love of many believers amounts to this: complaints and reproaches. This is why their faith is precarious and their love so inconstant.
