It is important that you pay attention to the quality of …

It is important that you pay attention to the quality of your food, but even more important is your psychic state when you eat, for you can poison yourself with even the healthiest food when you don’t take certain precautions. How? If you are troubled by negative thoughts and feelings as you put food into your mouth, the food becomes impregnated with the poisons your thoughts and feelings are carrying, and it will disperse the poisons throughout your body. Yes indeed, you should know this: as you absorb your food, it becomes impregnated with the harmful elements you are sending out, and it poisons you. Of course, the opposite is also true. It’s normal to be momentarily upset or annoyed by certain events; but if that is the case, even if it’s time for your meal, wait a while before eating until you have re-established inner peace and harmony. And if you cannot, if your commitments require you to eat immediately, at least make the effort to concentrate on your food and imbue it with your respect and your gratitude: as these feelings enter into you, the food becomes the medium for them, and they transform your negative states.
