What can you learn from the invention of the telephone? It sits there on your table, and from time to time you dial a number and speak into it. It is not to the instrument that you address yourself; it is through it as an intermediary that you speak to someone in another location, sometimes very far away, who listens and responds. According to initiatic Science, all beings and all objects can also be considered intermediaries: they put you in touch with other beings, other objects and other entities of the invisible world, the spiritual world. This is the function of holy images and relics, for example, which have played such a great role in Christianity. These images and relics are precious, provided you know how to think of them. The divine being you seek is not there in the material representation. This is merely a kind of witness, a support for your search.
