No love is forbidden to you, provided you know how to love. …

No love is forbidden to you, provided you know how to love. Love is the wish to develop what is most luminous in oneself and to give it to another, so that he too may advance on the path of light. If you love someone for his soul and his spirit and you want him to progress and blossom, heaven will give you its blessing, because your love embellishes and enriches him. But if your only thought is to satisfy an instinct without concern for the other’s evolution, heaven will not approve. You will soon sense this yourself, according to certain criteria: if, after your exchanges with the man or woman you say you love, you are full of energy, gratitude, joy and inspiration, it is because you have succeeded, and heaven – the heaven within you – approves. But if you feel none of this, it is because you have merely given way to your animal nature, and in the end this has negative repercussions for you.
