We continually meet people who complain that they have been deceived, taken advantage of, and disappointed by others. Why is this? Because they have not yet understood that the ability of others to meet their expectations depends on who they are, on their experiences in life and the lessons they have drawn from them. You must reflect on this matter and study it well. If you yourself do not know how to choose people you can trust, who will make good partners and whose advice you can count on, do not be surprised when you meet with disappointment. Do you feel betrayed and cheated? But these people you trusted were well intentioned: they simply acted according to their own abilities and possibilities, and it is not their fault if they failed to fulfil your expectations. It is up to you to be clearheaded, to think carefully before placing all your hopes in others.
