Sorrows and cares - avoiding burdening others with them

Most people's habit of going and unburdening themselves to others when they feel sad and unhappy is a sign of great weakness. How many of you rush to your parents, friends or neighbours at the slightest concern, the slightest annoyance, or get on the telephone to talk about your misfortunes! And straightaway some twenty people are affected… Have you ever asked yourself whether others are there to take on your burdens? Have you ever asked yourself whether they are even capable of doing so? If you truly wish to evolve, drop this habit and avoid overloading them. When you have worries and sorrows, find a way to neutralize these states. Ask yourself, ‘Let’s see, what can I do to become stronger and nobler, to behave like a true child of God that heaven can count on for its work?’ If you do not wish to make any efforts, if you want to remain weak, then keep your old habits, with all that they entail! But know that in an initiatic teaching you are shown the way to become strong and full of light and to be able to help others.
