Body, human - can be either a den for animals or a temple

It is written in the scriptures: ‘We are the temple of the living God’. Humans become a true temple when they have worked to strengthen their will, purify their heart, enlighten their mind, expand their soul and sanctify their spirit. Their physical body itself is a temple, and they can invite the Lord to come and live there. Unfortunately, most people do not take the trouble to become a temple. Instead, their physical body becomes a cowshed or a pigsty, because they use it to satisfy their instincts without restraint.  One day when Jesus went into the temple courtyard in Jerusalem, he saw that the merchants were doing business selling animals and poultry. So he took some ropes to make a whip and drove them out saying, ‘Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!’ So, do not copy the merchants in the temple; do not make your body a den for animals, for if you do, it will not be the Lord who will come to live there but dark entities, undesirables that like to feed on filth. And with these as tenants, how do you think you will feel?
