Pleasure - does not constitute happiness
Not only does pleasure not bring happiness, it is often the pursuit of pleasure that stops you from finding happiness. Pleasure is an enjoyable and fleeting sensation that leads human beings to believe that by making it last as long as possible, they will be happy. Well, no. Why? Because the experiences that quickly and easily give them an enjoyable sensation do not, for the most part, exist in the higher planes. They affect only the physical body, maybe the heart and barely the intellect. But we cannot be happy if we seek to satisfy solely the physical body, the heart or even the intellect, because such satisfaction is limited and short-lived. Unlike pleasure, true happiness is not a sensation of the moment and it affects the entire being: soul and spirit. So, when you find someone or something appealing or pleasant, do not rush. Use these criteria and ask yourself whether it is really here that you will find happiness.
