The suffering or joy human beings feel are perhaps the only …

The suffering or joy human beings feel are perhaps the only things they do not question. They may question what they see, what they hear, what they touch, but they are never in doubt about what they feel. If they are suffering or feeling joyful, no one can convince them of the opposite. It is what they feel that plunges them to the heart of things – they taste them and experience them. So many people remain unmoved by what they see! They witness a sunrise, one of the most beautiful sights in nature, and they feel nothing. What point is there, then, in seeing it? What would be the point of seeing heaven open before you, if you experienced nothing before such splendour? Whereas, if you feel heaven, it’s as if it’s inside you, and you no longer even need to see it. You must understand that everything we see, touch and appear to hold in our hands is actually a long way away from us. It’s only what we feel that’s close to us. That is why true clairvoyance is a deep inner sensing, not a vision of something outside ourselves.
