The human spirit is an eternal principle, a spark from God himself, and it doesn’t need to be instructed or enlightened. What it lacks are good conditions, a good instrument through which to manifest itself. You see cases where certain people – thinkers, mystics and especially artists – enter such extraordinary states of inspiration, they succeed in touching sublime realities, but when they return from these states they scarcely understand what has happened to them and, sometimes, no longer even remember anything about it. If human beings decided to improve the way they live, they would perfect those faculties that allow them to perceive and receive spiritual realities, they would refine the matter of their psychic organs and centres. Their spirit would then have greater possibilities to express itself, and they would accomplish wonders on the physical plane.
