The words 'sacrifice' and 'renunciation' trouble most human …

The words 'sacrifice' and 'renunciation' trouble most human beings. They say: 'But sacrifice and renunciation represent hardship, deprivation and if we deprive ourselves we die.' It is true that they will die; if they have not understood that sacrifice brings something better in its place, then yes, they will die. Nature works things very well: we eat, we drink, we breathe, we love, and there is no need for us to axe anything, all we have to do is refine our needs and transpose them to the higher planes. So stop thinking that deprivation leads to death. On the contrary, deprivation leads to a more subtle life. People who do not understand this stagnate, and this is what carries them towards death. By accepting certain hardships you transform a crude energy into a more subtle energy and you become richer.
