How many parables Jesus used to describe the kingdom of God!…

How many parables Jesus used to describe the kingdom of God! In one of these, he compares the kingdom of God to a merchant searching for pearls: ‘On finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.’ So, this merchant sold houses, furniture, jewellery, land and livestock to obtain a pearl. Does a pearl really cost that much? Yes, because it represents the teaching of Christ, the teaching of wisdom and light. It’s worth selling all we own to have this teaching, but only if we understand that ‘selling’ means being able to sacrifice all the non-essentials that weigh us down and encumber us. For, to be able to draw closer to divine truths, we must become detached and be stripped bare.
